I had some events to attend in Florida over the third weekend of September 2022. This is a post about my flights back and forth, and the places that I visited along the sidelines.

My flights back to Washington DC after a week of mountaineering trips in Colorado.

Eighth and final day of our 2022 Colorado Trip. After taking my friend to the airport in the morning, I took a brief tour of downtown Denver before hopping onto an evening flight back home.

Seventh day of our 2022 Colorado trip. We would be visiting Rocky Mountain National Park today, do some hiking among the scenic alpine lakes in the Bear Lake area, and finish the day with a tour of the park’s Trail Ridge Road.

Sixth and probably the most exciting day of our 2022 Colorado trip. We would be climbing Longs Peak via Keyhole route, a stunning YDS class 3 14er in Rocky Mountain National Park for intrepid adventurers.

Fifth day of our 2022 Colorado trip. We would be leaving Breckenridge for Longmont, a base for venturing into Rocky Mountain National Park for the next two days. Along the way, we would visit Red Rocks Park.

Fourth day of our 2022 Colorado trip. We would be hiking Mount Sherman from Iowa Gulch, a 14er outside the town of Leadville, generally considered to be one of the easiest Colorado 14ers.

Third day of our 2022 summer trip to Colorado. We would be hiking the DeCaLiBron loop, a famous group of mountains outside the town of Alma, offering an opportunity to bag 3 or 4 14ers in one day.

Second day of our 2022 summer trip to Colorado. We would be climbing Quandary Peak outside the town of Breckenridge, our first 14er of the trip.
