In early April I accepted a university's campus visit invitation and visited Chicago area. Given that their 600 dollar allowance on travel, my only choice within that for return trip from Beijing to Chicago was China Eastern Airlines with connection at Shanghai Pudong.
Three days of Barcelona shall round off my four week's roaming the world, and it's about time I get back to school before the registration period ended for my last undergraduate semester.
Third and last day in Barcelona.
The plan of the day was to visit Casa Amatller, one of the three buildings in Mancana de la Discordia (Discord District), Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, another work representative of Catalan Modernism and a functional hospital until not very far ago, then Mount Montjuïc, with its castle on its top and Barcelona Olympics arenas halfway up.
Fundació Antoni Tàpies Contemporary museum in a modernist building offering works by painter Antoni Tàpies & other artists. One can tell that it's different from its roof decorations.
Second day in Barcelona, as the sky cleared into a bright sunny day.
The plan of the day was to visit two of Antoni Gaudí's architecture masterpiece, Casa Milà and Casa Batlló, followed by roaming the Barcelona old city.
After a Ryanair flight from Fes back to Barcelona, we took an Aerobus ride downtown and checked into our hotel. Leaving the chaotic Moroccan Medina's behind, it felt so great back to civilization.
This was our last day in our short visit to the city of Morocco. The plan of the day was to visit Fes Medina before heading for Airport out of town on a flight to Barcelona.
Breakfast Table I quite liked the way utensils with jam were place.
After ten days in the mayhem of Morocco (well, I mean the Medina parts), my friend and I were more than eager to get back to the civilized world of Barcelona.
So on this last afternoon in Morocco, we booked a (grand) taxi from our hotel manager that took us to the airport for 150 Dirhams. The taxi would take us through the newly-developed regions of the city of Fes, which wasn't very much what we were used to seeing in Morocco.
Towards the end of our short visit in Morocco, as we woke up to a rainy morning in Chefchaouen. No surprise as this was early February under Mediterranean climate, in a tiny mountain town.
The plan of the day was to reach Fes, the second largest city in the country and capital of modern Morocco until 1925.
Eighth day in Morocco as we woke up to a rainy morning in Meknes.
The plan of the day was to reach the town of Chefchaouen in Northern Morocco. Nicknamed "blue city", its building painted in matching blue has attracted visitors over the century.
Streets of Meknes Medina I particularly liked the color and composition of this shot, it's got those old movie feeling.
