After spending most of the summer bunkering down at home, my friend and I waited for a cool weekend at the end of September and hiked a popular section of Appalachian Trail in central Pennsylvania.
Seventh day of my 2021 Alaska trip and my first of two days in Juneau. Weather was fine today so I took the West Glacier Trail onto Mendenhall Glacier after exploring its famous ice cave. It ended up being such an awesome experience.
Second day of my 2021 Alaska trip. Yesterday’s excursion to Matanuska Peak took quite a toll on me that I spent most of the day resting. But since I still wanted something done for the day, I decided to take a short hike to Marmot Mountain near Hatcher Pass towards its end.
First day of my 2021 Alaska trip, I would be climbing Matanuska Peak outside the city of Palmer, a grueling day hike that tested both my physical and mental capabilities.
Third day of 2021 Memorial Day weekend. We hiked to Dragon’s Tooth, a giant near-vertical rock along Appalachian Trail that’s also part of Virginia Triple Crown.
Second day of 2021 Memorial Day weekend. We hiked to McAfee Knob, a piece of rock sticking out of a cliff with stunning views, dubbed “most photographed point of the Appalachian Trail”.
First day of 2021 Memorial Day weekend. On our drive to Roanoke, Virginia, we visited the city of Lexington, Natural Bridge and Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory along the way.
Sunday May 16, 2021. My other friends that lived around Los Angeles area were busy, so I spent the day between hiking and resting on the beach, before heading to Griffith Observatory for Los Angeles' skyline at night.
Third day of my April 2021 southern California trip. I would spend a second full day in Joshua Tree National Park, visiting parts of the park that I left out during my first day of visit: Fortynine Palms Oasis, Split Rock, Barker Dam and Keys View.
